History

In 2009, as per the founding law, students were admitted to the Preparatory Class under the name School of Maritime Studies. On May 11, 2010, a Council of Ministers decree upgraded it to the Faculty of Maritime Studies, officially starting its academic programs in the fall semester of 2010.

Since its establishment, the faculty has been offering education in two departments:

Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering

Marine Engineering Operations
