Welcome to Piri Reis University Faculty of Maritime Studies!

As one of the leading maritime education institutions in Turkey, our faculty takes pride in delivering world-class education in the field of maritime studies. Named after the great Turkish navigator Piri Reis, our faculty is committed to excellence at both national and international levels. Our 100% English-taught programs are recognized by major maritime authorities, including the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the European Maritime Safety Agency (EMSA), and Turkey’s national maritime authorities.

A defining feature of our education is hands-on, experience-based learning, supported by advanced simulator technology. With an average of 11 years of maritime experience, our faculty members equip students with both theoretical and practical knowledge of real-world maritime operations. This comprehensive approach prepares our students for successful careers in the global maritime industry.

The Faculty of Maritime Studies consists of two main departments: Marine Engineering Operations and Maritime Transportation and Management Engineering. Our programs are designed to equip students with the necessary knowledge, skills, and international certifications to become competent professionals in the maritime sector. Through scientific research and innovative teaching methods, we continuously contribute to shaping the future of the maritime industry.
